9.1. Taxonomy File Plugin
Part 9. Organizing the Model Data Structure
The Taxonomy File plugin is used to generate a taxonomy file in .txt format and replace it for the active version of Revit.
To launch the plugin, open the Qsee tab and select Taxonomy File from the Asset Data panel.

A dropdown menu will appear containing all available classifiers from the List of Classification module. The appropriate classifier for the current session should be selected from this list.

Important: The plugin generates and saves the Taxonomy File only for the version of Revit in which it was launched. Other plugins rely on this loaded file as a basis for their operation. If a different classifier needs to be used, the file must be regenerated by selecting the corresponding classification table and restarting the current Revit session. Upon completion, a notification window will confirm that the Taxonomy File is ready. The window can then be closed.

When a new file is generated using the Taxonomy File plugin, restarting the current Revit session is required to ensure proper activation. Otherwise, the previous version of the file will remain in use.

A notification window appears to inform that the Revit session needs to be restarted.
