10.2. Export Asset Data Plugin

The Export Asset Data plugin is designed to automate the export of parameter values assigned to specific classification elements. This functionality enables efficient data analysis outside the Revit environment, providing flexibility in working with information beyond the model.

1

To start the plugin, open the Qsee tab and select Export Asset Data from the Asset Data panel.

2

In the dialog box that appears, select the required classification table from the dropdown menu and confirm by clicking OK.

3

Next, a family selection window opens. Families that are not linked to a classifier appear as inactive. To hide these, use the Hide all unused classes option in the top-right corner of the window.

4

To export data, either select a classification element to automatically include all related families or manually specify the required families from the list.

5

On the left side of the window, specify the element phases. On the right side, select the phase for spaces or rooms to be included in the export.

6

Click Export Data to begin the process.

7

Upon completion, a message Data has been export successfully will appear in the bottom-left corner, confirming that the export was successful.

The exported data is stored at the project level in the Asset Data module.

In the view manager, the Building Elements view within the Asset Data module displays all exported families and their parameters. Custom views within the Building Element group list specifications generated based on the classification elements.

Each specification includes information about elements that match a given classification entry, along with the associated parameters defined in the mapping table from the Parameter Definition module at the account level.
