2.3 Toolbar

Part 2. Core Components and Controls.

In the context of this documentation, the term views refers to all types of tables and lists within the Qsee platform, including data models, tables, custom views, and matrices.

The following tools are available for working with views:

Zoom

Zoom – This tool allows you to adjust the view scale from 50% to 200%.

Edit

Edit – Enables or disables Edit Mode. This tool is designed to prevent unintentional changes to the data within the view. When editing mode is active, three additional buttons become available: Add, Remove (visible only when a table element such as a row, column, or cell is selected), and Import.

Add

The Add button is used to insert a new empty row into the table. After adding the row, you can fill in the required parameters directly within the edit mode.

Remove

The Remove button is used to delete an entire row from the table. This button appears only when one or more elements—such as rows or individual cells—are selected. Upon clicking the button, a confirmation dialog will appear to verify the deletion.

Import

The Import button opens the batch data import dialog. At the first step, data is pasted into the gray input field. Tab must be used as the delimiter; otherwise, column alignment may be incorrect. After clicking Next, a data preview appears where column recognition can be reviewed and adjusted. Click Import to complete the process.

Note: data for columns with the Select/Multiselect data types will not be imported (this limitation is planned to be addressed in a future update).

Search – Activates the search bar. When Filter is disabled, the search highlights matching text in the view. When Filter is enabled, it hides all rows that do not contain the searched text.

View Settings

View Settings – Opens the view configuration window. In this window, you can set up filtering, sorting, and choose which parameters are displayed.

  • The Parameters tab allows you to configure which parameters are shown in the view. Hidden parameters are listed on the left, while visible parameters appear on the right. You can hide parameters from the view or rearrange their order.

  • The Sorting/Grouping tab allows you to define sorting and grouping settings for the view. The first row is for sorting (choose a parameter and sorting order). The second row defines grouping (select a parameter and choose whether to display the group by header, footer, or an empty row).

Note: Multiple levels of sorting and grouping can be applied using the Add button.

  • The Filters tab allows you to filter the view based on specified parameter values using one of three functions: Contains, Equals, or Greater Than. Select the parameter to filter by, choose the filtering condition, and enter the value to filter against.

Note: You can add multiple filtering levels using the Add button.

  • The Formatting tab allows you to format parameter headers. This tab also provides an option to set vertical text orientation within columns.

Note: You can add multiple formatting rules using the Add button.

  • The Save button allows you to save and apply the modified settings to the current view.

Fullscreen

Fullscreen – Activates full-screen mode by hiding the Modules menu, Organizations menu, and User menu.
