4.1 Classification Tables

Part 4. Parameters and Data Classification.

A classifier is a structure used to systematize objects, data, or model elements by categories, classes, or types. In the Qsee platform, classifiers are used to organize Revit model elements.

A classifier is implemented as a table, where each row represents an element with the following required properties:

  • Code — a unique identifier

  • Title — the name of the element

  • Used — a usage flag

  • Level — the hierarchical level of the element

The Classification Tables module contains tables with existing classifiers. The full list of project classifiers is located in the List of Classification Tables.

To create a new classifier, a record is added to the List of Classification Tables. This involves opening the classification table, enabling editing mode, and clicking the Add button to insert a new row. The name of the classifier must be specified, and an optional description can be added.
